Want to finally play those locked classes? Want to finally use the spartan laser Sgt. Johnson spawns with? Then this isn't the place for you. Faction Leaders are going to play a huge role in the future of HaloRP, and it is going to make it super fun for new players and veterans alike. These classes that you will be granted are not to just be used to play on, these jobs are roleplay jobs, and you will need to lead your faction to victory through hard work and training. As a faction leader, you will be given powers to really shape how the server is ran on a daily basis. It's up to you to train your squads to be the best of the best.
FAQ:
What am I suppose to do?
- You're a leader of your designated faction. You have to rally people up and do fun events. You have to work with other Faction leaders to coordinate these events. You simply play as the character you are and make sure your faction is having fun.
Do I always have to RP as leader jobs?
- Yes. Leader jobs are the exception to the CasualRP aspect of HaloRP. These jobs are not for just using the weapons or the cool model, these are RP jobs, and you must treat them as such. However, depending on the leader, some do fight, and you will be on the battlefield, does not mean you aren't RP'ing.
What commands will I have to help lead my faction?
- You will have access to faction wide bonuses and faction currency. This currency is filled by how many people are on your faction, as well as every kill your faction gets. Once you have enough currency, you may purchase a bonus, but beware... They only last 30 minutes, and it takes time to build back up. Coordinate with other leaders before purchasing these, as it could be the difference between defeat and victory. You will also have access to the global eventtimer command that allows you to put timed events on everyone's HUD's. The leader position also has access to a very valuable command... !addxp. This command is for leaders to use to reward players for RP situations, especially during off war times (explanation in a minute). This command is globally echoed and you must state a reason everytime you use it. This command can obviously be abused, if it is, your rank will be stripped and you level reset, or worse depending on the situation. This will however really encourage RP and players listening to their higher ups.
Off war time? What?
- I want leaders to use the event timer in HaloRP to call cease fire every so often (depending on the situation) and force a time of RP/basing. Players can decide to base during this time, or participate in leader events. This is the alternative to my idea of a war timer. Instead of a steady timer that never ends, it should go by situation, and event planning. There will be times for no war, it will be up to the leaders to decide when.
What kind of events should I run?
- If you've played a serious RP... Then forget everything you learned there. My events and events of serious roleplays have very different definitions. Although similar in the thought process I guess, but different execution. These are a few examples I would consider a fun event for players to participate:
- Sparring. Competitions are held for 1 on 1 combat scenarios. Winners take home bigger prizes, losers get participation prizes.
- Obstacle course. Create an obstacle course and offer rewards for anyone who can best it.
- Training. This can be anything. Formation training, aiming training, ammunition conservation training, stealth training. These can be approached in alot of ways, be creative.
- Preparation for a big battle. This can be a pre-event before an actual event (KOTH, CTF ect). This can be used to get people together, balance out the factions, and have a plan ready for when the event starts. This can also be seen for when the "off war" timer goes down, you will be prepared for the PvP.
- Politics. This can be really fun, and hopefully, someday I will have a ulx command to help this out. Basically setup a time where you negotiate with the enemy faction about war terms, surrender terms, or even an alliance for the next war.
- Rescue mission. An enemy has been captured and is being threatened to be killed if not rescued. Its up to your faction to approach this carefully, either diplomatically, or guns a blazin'. Could be risky either way. (Vice versa as well, kidnapping mission).
Really, the possibilities are endless. Shooting braindead npc's just isnt my style. Gotta be more clever than that.
When can I start?
- Apply now, have a quick chat with me (Dan) and could be ready to lead within the hour!
Finally: The application format.

Do you consider yourself a charasmatic person (At least in HaloRP)?
What faction do you want to lead (Yes, only 1 faction per person!)?
Do you have a mic?
Do you consider yourself a decent roleplayer?
Think of a unique event idea (Not list above):[/quote]
Short and sweet. I want a lot of people to be able to join this, let's make HaloRP great again!
